Position Summary

Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, the Installation Technician’s primary responsibility is to perform work on bulk plant propane systems. This includes pipe or plate welding projects in the shop or field, as well as working with the Installation Supervisor or Job Foreman in other roles to complete projects. The Installation Technician may work independently on smaller projects. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Essential Functions

• Install and verify operation of piping, valves, meters, and related storage equipment.
• Cut, thread, and weld materials to meet system design requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering and Design to ensure field work matches original drawings.
• Repair and fabricate tanks and piping as necessary.
• Repair and maintain tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all standards and procedures for joining materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and methods for joining materials.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and materials for assigned operations.
• Complete logs, reports, work orders, requisitions, and other records as required.
• Support other areas of the Installation Department as needed, including civil work, tank setting, and tank/pipe painting.

Work Conditions

• Out-of-town travel is required.
• Overtime as required.
• Work performed in outdoor settings, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
• Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and headgear is recommended.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 75 lbs. on a regular basis.

The Tank Install Foreman directs and manages all on-site workers, subcontractors, and equipment during tank sets and construction projects, primarily during pre-installation. Supervisory Responsibility

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain a variety of large propane systems.

Position Description

The Commercial Driver is responsible for transporting propane tanks, heavy equipment and other goods by motor vehicle throughout the United States. Additionally, this person will assist in loading tanks and other freight, and performing other assigned duties, in the Marietta PA yard and other jobsites as assigned. This is a safety-sensitive position. The Commercial Driver transports large propane tanks and oversize loads, operates heavy equipment, drives company vehicles, performs work outdoors, works at heights, and works in environments containing dust and fumes which require use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates company-owned tractor-trailer to facilitate shipping operations.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractor, pushing, pulling and cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers.
• Performs long-haul transportation and shipping, sometimes through cities or spanning several states; drives long distances.
• Applies knowledge of commercial driving skills in maneuvering tractor-trailer at varying speeds and difficult situations including heavy traffic, bad weather or tight loading docks; maneuvers trucks into loading and unloading positions.
• Loads propane tanks and other goods onto trailer; ensures that cargo/freight is loaded and secured in a safe condition.
